Admissions

All details and policies linked to admissions can be found under the admissions tab of this website.

Complaints and Concerns

The majority of concerns can be dealt with without resorting to the procedure. Where you have a concern about any aspect of the school or your child's education or well-being, raise this with your child's class teacher via the phone or in person. Ideally, they will be able to address your concerns on the spot, or can arrange a meeting with you to discuss the issue. If they are unable to resolve your concern, please do contact Ms Stubbs via the school office, who will be happy to help.

If your concern relates to the emotional or physical safety of a child, please see Ms Stubbs (designated safeguarding lead) or Mrs McKay (deputy safeguarding lead) as a matter of urgency.

All concerns will be dealt with confidentiality, although the staff member may need to take notes if they feel that the matter may need to be taken further or may arise again in the future. Any such notes will be kept in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998. However, such notes would be able to be used as evidence if further investigation was required, or if the concern became a formal complaint.

Our complaint and concerns policy can be found on the policy page of our MAT, Exalibur Academies Trust. The link is above.

Whistleblowing

Honesty and integrity: Easton Royal Academy is committed to conducting its work with honesty and integrity, and we expect all staff to maintain high standards in accordance with the Code of Conduct. All organisations face the risk of things going wrong from time to time, or of unknowingly harbouring illegal or unethical conduct.

A culture of openness and accountability is essential in order to prevent such situations occurring and to address them when they do occur.

Our whistleblowing policy can be found on the Excalibur website, using the link at the top of this page.
